All the course books are written and designed by our very own teachers, following a proven methodology based on years of experience and academic training.

Right after the placement test on the first day of class, students will receive a textbook and workbook corresponding to their level of Spanish. These materials are not included in the program price. If your level improves substantially, we are always willing to bump you up to the appropriate level. In this event, you must pay for any new or additional course books.

Erasmus Language Spanish School in Salamanca organizes our courses into 6 different levels of Spanish, numbered 1 to 6. This structure follows the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, as well as the guidelines of Instituto Cervantes. Additionally, Erasmus Language Spanish Scholl´s in Salamanca 6 levels correspond exactly to the U.S. university system, so that you may receive credits from your home school.

Each level, with the exception of level 6 (Proficiency), is divided into sublevels varying from lesser to greater linguistic knowledge. This is to ensure you're situated in the exact level where you should be. We'll assess your Spanish level on the first day of class with a written and oral placement test.

Spanish Levels:

• Level 1 ("A1"): Basic
• Level 2 ("A2"): Elementary
• Level 3 ("B1"): Intermediate
• Level 4 ("B2"): Advanced
• Level 5 ("C1"): Superior
• Level 6 ("C2"): Proficiency
